I am a little late on this!! Boo on me!! This month's Crafty Chicks Challenge is Edible!
When it comes to cooking, I like fast and easy. Summer is coming up, which means it's going to get HOT!! I'm not sure about you, but I don't like to have my oven on anymore than I have to. My family still likes to have their treats in the summer months, especially cake!
This is so simple!
Just take a box of cake mix and the ingrediants it calls for
Mix it all up and put into your pan.
I used my Pampered Chef fluted stonewear pan.
Then just scoop in the frosting.
If you don't have a fancy cookie scoop just use a spoon.
Pop it in the MICROWAVE!
Then you say a little pray before you turn it over onto a cake stand (or plate).
The dark parts in the cake is all the yummy melted frosting!
I just piped the leftover frosting onto the top of the cake.
I had my parents up to sample it and they both gave it a thumbs up!
Yummo! Much better than baking in the oven. Now I need to experiment and see if it will work if I change out the fat and oil for seltzer or applesauce.
