Ivory Soap Cloud

Do you know what happens when you put Ivory soap in the microwave?  I didn't either until I saw Laura from Play Dr Mom do it!!

I had a few bars of Ivory laying around, so while Ldawg was napping, Hunter and I tried it out!

The first one we did was a quarter of the bar for about 25-30 seconds.

The second one was half the bar, for about 60 seconds!

Now just watch the magic happen!
Your kitchen will smell so good!
Cool right?  It's hot when it come out, so let it cool a few minutes before little hands touch it.

So what did we do with it?
 We washed with it!
 The boys loved it!
Know what else you can do with it?

I made the laundry detergent Saturday morning, it took maybe 10 minutes total, super easy.  I've only done one load,
but The Thrifty Couple swears by it.!

We have a winner!!!

Rolling my Eyes

Things started out well enough this morning.  HHH wanted me to have my photo taken in front of his and Ldawg's new (to us) bunk beds.  The boys have been sleeping in them since Sunday night with minimal problems!
It went downhill from there. . .

HHH, Sit, you're going to fall!
At this point, the Hubs, just keeps clicking.
And I am sure I'm running my mouth
and rolling my eyes at the same time.
 I'm talented like that!
There were more unflattering photos after this, as I yanked the camera from my laughing Husbands hands.
This Mom needs a tripod!
Nikon are you listening, send me a tripod!

I Carved My Initials

I had a canvas laying around that was begging to be used.

Using mySilhouette , I cut out the stencil on a piece of overhead projector plastic.  I have the Silhouette SD, but I would love one of the Cameo's! (are you listening Silhouette, lol)

To keep it put on the canvas, I glued it with a little Ek Success 2-Way Glue Pen Bulk, Jumbo Tip

Not the best idea, but it's all I had, and it worked!

The I just used a sponge brush on the big areas, and a regular small brush on the more detailed areas.  Next time I think I'm going to try it with a little stencil adhesive.

I told my Husband that I had been working on a little "art" project, I think he was a little scared, but he really liked it!  Goes well with the bear hanging on the wall!

Made in a Day

I love the bubbles!

The Husband and I are soda drinkers!  I love the bubbles.  When I got the opportunity to review the SodaStream, I was over the moon!  I've been eyeing this product for some time.  Friends of ours have one and love it!  I was skeptical, could a little machine really make soda that tastes good??  Yes it can!!
We opened the box to try that baby out the same night it came!!

The wonderful people at SodaStream sent a HUGE variety of flavors to try out!  So this thing is really easy to use.

First step is to attach the carbon canister.
Then fill up your bottle with cold water and attach it to the machine.

 Pretty easy right?
Now add some bubbles!
I may have had some trouble getting the bottle of bubbled water off the machine, however, the Hubs said it was my lack of muscles and not the machines fault.
Next, pick out a flavor, we picked gingerale, my favorite!
You just measure the flavoring into the cap, and slowly pour it into the carbonated water, if you pour it too fast, it will bubble over, trust me!

Now shake that baby up!  Nice and slow mind you, you don't want the cap shooting off!!
And now, the finished product!

All together it took about five minutes to make the soda.  If you use cold water and put ice in your glass, you can drink it right away.  Besides the ginger ale, we've also tried the orange, root beer, lemon lime and the energy, which is their version of Red Bull.

They offer a variety of Sparkling Natural flavors, teas and flavored water.

You can buy SodaStream products directly, they can also be purchased at Target or Bed, Bath and Beyond and a number of other retailers.
A couple things about the SodaStream.  There are no battery's or electricity involved.  One carbon cylinder can be used for about 60 liters.  The flavor bottles can make between 6-12 liters depending on the flavor.
You can go here, to read about why SodaStream is better for the environment.
While I was rinsing out the bottle to use again, I was thinking, man I wish these were dishwasher safe.  Well guess what, they do have dishwasher safe ones that you can buy!  You can bet I will be getting a few of those!

All in all, I really like this product.  It's easy to use and pretty convenient.
Disclosure: I was provided with a SodaStream and accessories to do my review.  I was NOT required to give a positive review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Greek Goddess?

Not much of an outfit post!

I was not interested in fighting with HHH over photo's this morning!  He can be so bossy.

I tried to take some in the mirror, but all you could see was the flash, when I turned the flash off the photo was blurry.
Can someone help me with that?

Anyway, all I really cared about was the headband.
I LOVE it!  Even though it hurts my head.
Greek Goddess Looking?
Got it at Target over the summer.

Momma Go Round
A co-worker/friend came in with sad news this morning.  Her Husbands best friend and wife were in a car accident last night.  She died this morning.

She left behind three children.

While I have never met this woman, it was like a punch in the stomach.  She was young, he is now a widow.  I could not help but think about my own children and Husband.  Could they survive something like that?

Losing a parent is a hole in your heart.  Those kids have a long road ahead of them.

Losing a spouse, I can only imagine that pain.

My heartbreaks for them.  I pray God heals their hearts.

We will be pounding orange juice like its our job, there will be lots of sleep and plenty of cuddles.

And I'm sure PJ's all day.

It's another week of What I Wore Wednesday!!  Having Monday off has really messed me up.  I feel like today is Tuesday!

This is what I wore Monday for my day of NO kids!!  When I got home that day, the kids were still at daycare, so I thought I was get caught up on the DVR, well I kept turning it down because in my head I'm thinking the boys are sleeping!  It doesn't happen very often that I am home and they are not.  I only watched one show, then went and picked them up a little early.

It was a rough morning.  Ldawg decided to hit HHH in the head with his KrokoGolf club.  That kid.  I had him sit in time out then say sorry and give hugs to HHH.

Thankfully, his aggressive behavior doesn't happen very often and it doesn't happen at school.
